A weight tells the calculator how much a value counts compared with the other values.

A value with weight 2 counts twice as much as a value with weight 1. A value with weight 0 is ignored.

Use weighted averages when coursework, tests or modules have different percentages, credits or importance.

For example, one exam might count for 60 percent and coursework might count for 40 percent.
